HP/30 General Purpose Hydrophone

The HP/30 is designed to be deployed from a small boat or dinghy and will capture sounds within the audible frequency range. An external 12 volt battery is required to power the hydrophone, dry cell or a small rechargeable type are suitable. The output can then be fed into the MICROPHONE input of a portable amplifier or tape recorder. The output is D.C. and should be decoupled if necessary. For best results the hydrophone battery must be isolated from all other equipment such as tape recorders etc. Use the HF/22 battery box for convenient power supply and decoupling or the HP/24 with additional headphone output. Cable lengths available 8—50 metres.
